Our independent patient satisfaction survey vendor, Avatar International, also provides us with patient experience data. For the past seven years, YVMC has been recognized by Avatar as an elite top performer (in the top 20 hospitals) when comparing our results to approximately 300 hospitals in the United States. In addition, our Emergency Department has achieved a 5-star rating for three consecutive years and was the top performer of all Avatar hospitals in 2008.
