 YVMC employees volunteered for the blood draw. Results were provided by YVMC's laboratory technicians and technologists | YVMC is proud to sponsor an annual "Fall Into Health" Community Health Fair. The event will be held at Yampa Valley Medical Center and its campus on October 23, 2010 from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The Health Fair offers: low-cost blood work, free health screenings, free educational materials, and the opportunity for participants to speak with many healthcare providers regarding locally available services and programs. Check back soon for more information about online registration.People planning to have a blood tests should fast for 12 hours before their blood draw. Individuals with diabetes should not fast. Drink plenty of water. Black coffee and plain tea are OK, but no milk or sugar. Continue taking prescribed medications.
